The Rubi Slipper – Alamosa, Colorado

After waking up early and walking the Great Sand Dunes we were looking for something filling. The Rubi Slipper in Alsmosa satisfied our tastebuds! It’s about 25 minutes from San Luis State Park but it was worth the drive.

It’s a diner sort of setting with lots of local beer on tap and tons of fun burgers/sandwiches. I tried a grapefruit beer form the Illusive Traveler and it was delicious.

The Green Chili burger was cooked to perfection and served with homemade potato chips.

The Iron Mike is a meat patty nestled between two grilled cheese sandwiches and served with tater tater tots. Both hit the spot and called for a nap later.
